This annual six day fair take place in August and features traditional country fair activities such as livestock shows, horseshoe tosses, a chicken parade, judged floral exhibits, pet shows, sheep shows, and bull riding. Held at the Parks and Recreation Fitness Trail
Taking place each November before Thanksgiving, this annual event offers a choice of running a one and a half, three, or six mile race on a mile and a half loop of grass and pathways through a park. Awards are given for the man and woman who place first in each race, as well as for categories based on age group. After the races, there is a drawing of names for frozen turkeys to be distributed to the winners. more
