Jo Wilson
President and CEO
Jo, the founder of Discoverourtown.com, is a native of Vicksburg, MS and 1968 graduate of the University of Mississippi where she received a BBA in accounting.

For six years, she served as Director of the Vicksburg Main Street Program that focused on the revitalization of the historic downtown area. She has owned and operated several businesses in Vicksburg with her husband, C.H. Wilson.

One of these businesses, a local ISP, sparked Wilson’s interest in the vast opportunities of the Internet, while another, Wilsonwood Lodge, proved the value and effectiveness of the Internet in promoting a business. These experiences coupled with a life-long love of travel, were the catalyst in her development DiscoverOurTown.com.

Clyde H. Wilson
VP of Product Development
Clyde, better known as C.H., is also a native of Vicksburg, MS and a 1968 graduate of the University of Mississippi where he received a BBA in finance. He has over 20 years experience in sales with companies having presence in national and global markets and has also created and successfully operated several businesses locally. C.H. currently owns Wilsonwood Lodge, a lakeside resort and conference facility in Vicksburg.

John Blackstock
Chief Financial Officer
John has over 25 years experience as a CFO/Controller in industry, a CPA in public accounting and as an entrepreneur. He is a Certified Public Accountant with a BS in accounting from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He is a partner with B2B CFO, a member of the Society of Louisiana Certified Public Accountants and is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Mike Gatti
Director of Technology
Mike is a 1990 graduate of Christian Brothers University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Before joining Discoverourtown.com, he worked for Entergy as a Computer Systems Engineer.

Eliot Wilkerson
Director of Site Development
Eliot is in charge of all data submitted to Discoverourtown.com including online data submissions and corporate affiliate accounts. He received a degree in accounting from the University of Memphis in 1999. He also holds degrees in Finance and Psychology from Southwest Tennessee Community College.

Magee Wilson
Director of Resources
Magee is 2002 graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a member of the Kappa Delta sorority. Before joining Discoverourtown.com, Magee worked with Cornelius & Collins, LLP, a law firm in Nashville, TN. Magee's responsibilities at Discoverourtown.com include managing existing database entries and creating and editing listings.

Cortney is a 2001 graduate of Delta State University where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing. Before joining DiscoverOurTown, she was the Database Specialist for Jones Walker Law Firm. Cortney resides in New Orleans with her husband, Federico, and daughter, Victoria..

Elayne W. Gamble
Senior Marketing Specialist
Elayne is a 1974 graduate of Jackson State University, Jackson, MS. where she received a Bachelor of Science in Biology. She worked as a Medical Technologist for 15 years. Elayne began a new career in Sales & Marketing at Harrah's Casino Hotel, Vicksburg, MS. She held the position of Banquet/Catering/Hotel Sales manager for 10 years until the property closed. She continues to hold several memberships in the tourism industry. Elayne and her husband, Charles have one daughter, Adrienne and reside in Vicksburg, MS.

Marsha Rhodes
Senior Marketing Specialist
A 1978 graduate of Northeast Louisiana University, Marsha received her BS in Health and Physical Education with a minor in History. She worked as an educator and coach for 15 years and was honored to work at both the 1996 and 2002 Olympics in Atlanta and Salt Lake City, respectively. In November of 2000 Marsha and her husband Mark made Vicksburg their home. They have three children and three grandchildren.

Alex Brown

A Vicksburg native, Alex graduated from Vicksburg High School in 2003 with honors in photography. He is currently attending Hinds Community College in Vicksburg.

Mission:
To develop an internet web site that will be a valuable tool for the traveler and shopper in discovering the most interesting and unique places to visit or shop while simultaneously providing the independent merchant with significant internet presence.

Objective:
To provide a simple and direct route via the Internet for the traveler to obtain reliable information needed in making plans to visit a particular town or region or for the shopper to obtain reliable information about specialty shops they may contact to purchase the perfect gift for a friend or relative who lives in another town and to create interest and excitement about each town by presenting information in a brief narrative review and making recommendations of things not to be missed.

Focus:
To showcase the better goods and services that are sought by the discriminative traveler and shopper primarily in the areas of dining, lodging, attractions, antiques, art, artist and craftsmen, galleries and museums, specialty shops, gardens and parks, activities and events.
