Presented by the Dallas-Fort Worth Inter-Tribal Association A two-day Native American Pow Wow with colorful tribal dance contests, an Indian artist and traders arts & crafts tent, teepee, visiting with old friends, making new ones, honoring ceremonies, singing, dancing and much more will be part of the Annual Texas Championship Indian Pow Wow. Several hundred Native Americans, representing dozens of tribes from across the United States will take part in this celebration of culture and heritage. Dancers in full regalia of feathers, buckskin, bells and beadwork will be competing for prize money and awards in eighteen different dance categories. Participants will range in age from two-year old toddlers to grandmothers in their 80's. The Indian food booth will serve authentic Native American fry bread and Indian tacos.
