The Block Party is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2014, in downtown Lancaster from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the Red Rose Holiday Tour.

Christina Chastain, artist and owner of Chastain's Studio Lofts, will be holding children's art classes for kids ages 5-12 beginning Friday, September 7, 2012, from 6-9 p.m. at her downtown studio. These classes will be offered every other Friday evening throughout the school year. Each class will start and finish a new project, ranging from canvas art to pottery. more

The Red Rose Sculpture Competition and Exhibition will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 17th, at Red Rose Park. A partnership of Avant Garde Center for the Arts and Olde English District Visitor Center and Artist Market, the exhibit will feature works by sculptors from throughout the southeast and will be held during the fifth annual Red Rose Festival. more

Join them in celebrating veterans on Saturday, November 10, 2012. The parade will start at the intersection of Main Street and Dunlap Street, continuing down Main Street and ending at the American Legion. Parking permitted where available. Memorial dedication at 10:30 a.m., parade begins at 12 p.m., and program begins at 1 p.m.
