Effing Music Fest is surrounded by cornfields in Effingham, Ill. Don't worry corn only enhances the sound! Just off Interstates 57 and 70 and less than 200 miles from Chicago, the Quad Cities, St. Louis, Indianapolis and Louisville, Effingham has all the charm of Central Illinois with the perks of the big city a few hours away. Their Funfest Amphitheater welcomes 14,000 concert-goers with lawn seating and features a 60 wide by 40 deep concrete stage. The stage was designed to support the Dave Matthews Band, one of the largest touring bands at the time of construction. That means they can fit a whole lotta fun on that stage! more
