Located in Topanga Canyon between the 101 Freeway and Pacific Coast Highway, the Theatricum Botanicum opened as a theatre for blacklisted actors and folk singers by Will Geer in the early 1950's. Today the 299-seat outdoor amphitheatre is a mid-size, award-winning union house in the L.A. area that usually offers eight original plays annually, including at least one Shakespeare play. more
