Franklin County Watermelon Festival 256-332-1760
Recognized as one of the Top 20 Annual Events in the Southeast by the Southeast Tourism Society, the Watermelon Festival in downtown Russellville features live entertainment, golf and tennis tournaments, a beauty pageant, 5K and one mile run, bike ride, food, an antique car and truck show, a motorcycle ride, 100 arts and crafts booths, and, of course, watermelon and contests. Held during the third weekend of August. more
